Schusev State Museum of Architecture
The Schusev State Museum of Architecture, founded in 1934, is considered to be the first specialized museum of architecture in the world. Engravings and lithographs, models, layouts, furniture and textiles, sculptures and murals as well as painting — all of it makes up a real textbook of the history of architecture from ancient times to the XIX century. The museum has collected materials from around the world — the Middle East, Byzantium, the ancient Russia.
Well, of course, here you will learn all about the history of Moscow. No wonder the museum itself is located in an outstanding architectural monument, the manor of the XVIII century.
Today the Schusev State Museum of Architecture is an international centre of contemporary architecture, urbanism and design.
